Craft Apps
ArtCraft Launcher: Install and Update Every Craft App
Updated 2026-10-11
The ArtCraft Launcher (repository craft-launcher) is "one place to install, update and open every app in the Craft App Suite, rebuilt in pure Rust." It is the recommended way to get more than one Craft app.
What it installs
PhotoCraft, LightCraft, FilmCraft, DesignCraft, VectorCraft, PdfCraft, EffectCraft, WordCraft, DeckCraft, GridCraft, CADCraft and SoundCraft. It shows which apps and versions you have, installs the right build for your OS and processor, and tells you about updates.
How it works
- Apps are installed where the OS normally keeps them: /Applications on macOS, C:\Program Files on Windows, /usr/bin on Linux.
- Downloads are checked against the published SHA-256 checksums.
- Each release also ships a SHA256SUMS.txt you can verify yourself.
Platforms
- Windows 10 and 11 (x64, Arm64, x86).
- macOS 11 Big Sur or later (universal).
- Linux x86_64 and aarch64 (glibc 2.35+), plus RISC-V (glibc 2.39+).
- FreeBSD 14 x86_64, and a WebAssembly build.
Build from source
Install Rust 1.90 or newer, clone the repo and run cargo run --release -p artcraft-launcher. The web version builds with trunk in apps/artcraft-launcher-web.
